CHICAGO—August 11, 2022— Activate Games, an indoor, interactive gaming experience, has officially announced the opening of a new location in Chicago this winter with an anticipated opening date of January 2023. Activate Games takes entertainment into the future by fusing technology and physical activity together to create live-action gaming experiences. The high-tech gaming company currently has three additional locations in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky and Lexington, Kentucky with two other locations opening in Dallas and East Rutherford, New Jersey this year.

“We are excited to be opening our first Illinois location and our sixth location in the US,” said Bryce Anderson, owner of Activate Games. “We’re thrilled to be joining the Chicago and Oak Brook communities, and we’re hoping to become a staple place where friends and family can gather to enjoy a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Activate Games provides high-tech games that test your team’s physical and mental agility across a wide variety of real-life challenges. Once inside, participants choose from hundreds of combinations of games and difficulty levels, each lasting one to three minutes. Activate Games has a variety of gaming rooms including Megagrid, Hoops, Push, Hide, Laser, Trench, Pipes, Climb and much more. An RFID wristband tracks participants’ scores and progress throughout the experience making it perfect for a casual night out or intense competition.

Activate Games offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in a realistic arcade game and compete alongside a team of at least two to five others. Activate Chicago will be located at 1600 16th Street, Unit 6, Oak Brook, IL 60523. The official grand opening date will be announced at a later date with the hope to be opened in January 2023.
